<div>辽阳县一高中是辽阳县唯一一所省级示范高中。学校以“传承教育积淀，着眼民族未来，面向全体学生，培养合格人才”作为教育教学理念，提出了“办省内一流示范校，彰显示范校作用，培养可持续发展人才”的办学目标。</div>

学校始建于1980年，现有51个教学班，在校学生三千余名，教职员工二百余名，其中高级教师89人。学校在深化教育改革，实施素质教育等方面，都取得了
令人鼓舞的好成绩，一批批拔尖学生纷纷考入清华大学、中国科技大学、上海交通大学、南开大学、同济大学、天津大学、复旦大学等名牌学校。</div>

<div> 学校办学规模不断扩大，办学水平逐年提高。学校现有近11000㎡的教学楼两栋，有两栋计10000㎡的学生宿舍楼，食堂与学生公寓3430㎡，食堂可以同时容纳800人就餐。</div>

<div> 目前，学校正在异地新建，新校区占地面积约11.6公顷，总建筑面积约5.2万平，新校区建成后，内设60个教学班，可容纳3000名学生就学，配设现代化的专业教室、实验室、体育场馆和生活设施，成为省内乃至东北地区最为先进和优质的高级中学。</div>
