本单元的中心话题是“jobs”,谈论自己或他人的职业,谈论自己或他人将来想从事的职业,并陈述原因。通过“What do you do?”,“what do you want to be?”,“Where do you work?”分步教学,以任务型教学为主线,着重培养学生获得英语基础知识和运用语言进行交际的能力。从教材编排看,Section A 为目标句型提供分步示例和指导性练习。?通过生动的图画呈现真实的语言场景,帮助学生掌握基础的语言项目;Section B主要通过听力、阅读及写作练习,使学生能对已学过的目标句型运用自如,创造性的活用所学语言进行课堂活动。

1.学习有关职业的单词:shop assistant,doctor, reporter,policeman,policewoman, waiter,bank clerk, actor,teacher and student
2.掌握下列目标语言: What do you do? I’m an actor.
What does he do? He’s a doctor.

What does he want to be? He wants to be a bank clerk

3.Find two students of two groups to say the words that they remember.Have a competition. 有必要的时候小组代表教读所写单词。(奖励优胜组)
4.Play a game.T:Is he a doctor?
Ss:Yes/No,…完成幻灯中的几个猜测。继续以下比赛游戏。 分两组猜测比赛,一组派一人,一生表演,另外一生只有三次猜测的机会。用上Is he/she a doctor?裁判是全班同学:Yes/No…
5.Talk about the picture then make a dialogue.
Such as: Who is she? How old is she?(根据新课开始时的自我介绍问问题)
T: What is she? She is a teacher. (Tell them another way of saying:What does your father do?)根据出示的人物职业的图片,问学生:What is he? He is a student. 或问:What does he do?
